Pre and Postnuptial Agreements

Pre and Postnuptial Agreements are excellent documents to protect assets and income from the claims of a future or current spouse. A prenuptial agreement is executed prior to a marriage and a postnuptial agreement is entered into after a marriage has already taken place. In both cases, both spouses or future spouses have a say in determining the contents of the agreement.

We have years of experience representing either party entering into the pre or postnuptial agreement. Our goal in both circumstances is to provide the upmost protection while maintaining equilibrium between the parties.

Regardless of your status, i.e., you have been asked to sign the document, you are initiating the document or you and your future partner are both interested in protecting your assets (perhaps you have children from a prior marriage or there is an imbalance in assets or earning capacity between the two individuals), we strive to ensure our client fully understand his or her rights and obligations within the contract. Once understood, we work together to negotiate the best possible agreement for our client with a focus on procuring the most secure financial situation possible.
